ODC Design was engaged by Victoria Square Services to complete the fitout of an 84sqm office space in the heart of Richmond. Despite its small size, the layout was thoughtfully designed to incorporate all the core elements of a fully functioning office including an entryway, meeting room, private offices, open workspace, kitchen and breakout area, while maintaining a sense of openness. We selected a warm palette to balance the proportions of the space and reflect the connected nature of the team within it – starting with subtle branding and frosted glazing for privacy at the front, leading to a welcoming and character-filled corridor featuring timber panelling and artwork. Combining aesthetics with functionality, we used feature reeded glass to enhance privacy in the meeting room and offices. Acoustic panels and perforated plasterboard ceilings were also installed to support high-performance video conferencing and optimise acoustic performance. The private offices were fitted with sit/stand workstations and visitor seating, with storage for files and office equipment integrated into the open workspace to support a clean, uncluttered environment. Designed as a comfortable shared space, the kitchen and breakout area was carefully planned to combine practical functionality with a high-quality finish.
